The Humane Society of Flower Mound is excited to once again present Fido Fest, a day of fun and activities for dogs and their people. Fido Fest ’08 will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Westchester Park in Flower Mound. This is our primary fundraising event of the year and we need your help to make it a success!
Since 1997, HSFM has given hope to thousands of homeless, abused, and unwanted animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding communities by providing spay/neuter programs, adoption opportunities, and education to the public about animal welfare.
The day will begin at 9am with a walk through the trails of Westchester Park. At 10am, we'll have a Rescue Reunion group photo for HSFM adoptees, then enjoy games, demos, and fun activities.
Fido Fest will feature demonstrations from amazing dogs of all kinds:

Dallas Dog & Disc (frisbee dogs!)

Flower Mound and Grapevine K9 Officers

Search One search-and-rescue dogs

Proof Positive Training--agility and flyball demos
Your dog can try his or her paw at agility on our practice course...stay safe by getting a microchip or registering with your town...compete in races, a wagon pull, and the costume contest...eat at the Bow Wow Bistro or the cake walk...and commemorate the day with a paw painting, a portrait at the photo booth, or a souvenir poster by artist Real Musgrave.
Two ways to register: Basic registration is $20 ($25 day of event), which includes one event t-shirt, one bandana for your dog, and an event goodie bag. Or, by raising a minimum sponsorship of $25 from friends and family, you can increase your donation potential and help even more homeless animals. In addition to one event t-shirt and bandana, the individual raising the most money for HSFM will win a gift basket with prizes for you and your favorite furry friend!
